Escape back to main screen while on phone call?

New 'droid user here. The "free" LX670 deal was good bait to switch from my Katana DLX flip phone. I've had it about 4 days.

One thing I have not figured out how to do that the old flip phone did easily: If I am in the middle of a phone call, how can I escape back to the main screen to lookup something?

I wanted to read an address that I had stored in my contacts to give to someone, but I could not figure out how to do this.

Press the "back" arrow key 3rd button on bottom

Press home button that will get you to home screen and then u can open contacts app and do what you need to do

Just be careful not to cover the top left (to the left of the "Sprint" text) while you're using the phone on call. That's the proximity sensor and it loves to turn the screen off while I'm trying to play angry birds and talk on the phone at the same time >.<
