Essential Order and Shipping Thread

I would be willing to bet they just keep brushing us off with generic replies. They can't and won't refund us. So here is there thinking.....They are betting that when you receive your phone, you will love it so much you won't send it back. I would be willing to bet that is there strategy.

Kind of glad they wont cancel my order. Now they can pay to ship it to me, and pay to have it shipped back to them. If just 25% of orders do this, then they will take a big hit financially in just shipping charges, not to mention not being able to sell the phone as new again, after being opened.

This could have all been avoided with a simple email saying they are running behind. I would still be a little disappointed at another delay, but silence is infuriating.

What they should not of done is take our money and leave us twisting in the wind. It said on website they would not take payment until ready to ship.

From there website:

Your Credit Card will not be charged when you register to reserve the Essential Phone. Rather, your credit/debit information will be requested when your Essential Phone is ready to be shipped to your preferred United States address and your credit/debit card will charged once it is shipped.

This is not looking good. Some people here were charged last week and have not heard anything. I ordered and they took the money on 22nd also. All week ive been thinking surly someone on here will report receiving shipping info.....Nothing nadda zippo. Now im getting pissed.

Had they not taken my money, I would certainly feel better.

I plan on opening it, letting it entertain me till my note 8 arrives. Then I will gladly pack it up, have them pay my return shipping, and have to eat a refurbished phone.

Yup. I ordered on the 18th and the charge went through on the 22nd (though it was pending since the 18th) and haven't heard anything from them other than one email stating I would have my phone 7 days from the day I ordered. Got no response when I emailed back asking to clarify if that meant I should receive shipment in 7 days or if being shipped in 7 days.

And last night I sent another email and no response. If they're having trouble and are being delayed they should say something, especially now that we have all been charged. And yes they should have done something like sent us the camera for free or something.

Maybe all the tech bloggers got phones meant for paying customers. One things for sure every tech blogger on the planet has one.

I guess this is what you get when you order form a tiny boutique outfit. For crying out loud it's a phone not a Bespoke Rolls Royce.

They certainly have to do something before more people run out of patience. May be they should throw in free 360 camera for all the delays and no communication and refund the $50 for those who paid. Shows that they are really sorry and want to make it right.

I dont really understand while everyone is giving them a hard time about shipping. Lets look at my last phone purchase the Nexus 6P. They did this same crap, and that is for a company that has had how many phone launches before that one? They deserve some slack as a brand new company rarely gets it right the first time. I am for one happy a company is trying as I don't want samsung bloat with stupid rounded screen. The camera may not be perfect either, but they did a lot of the phone right. I haven't plugged headphones in any phone in two years, and I am not one that ruins phones with water like an *****. Truth be told, those commercials of the kid in a pool dropping the phone is ridiculous. We need not to have phones in pools, for god sake put it down once in a while.

i got my Nexus 6P on time, they didnt charge me and go silent and miss date after date.... and Google actually has not launched many phones.

Trimfast, stop. The issue is that customer service is lying, people ha e been charged, promised made and broken with no update at all. So stop trying to act as though you have a superior sense of patience and understanding. People, such as myself, who received the email on the 16th were promised the phone by now and there is literally no update from Essential. Rather we are receiving BS assurances from CS. However, there seems to be something new where CS is now stating that ETA on shipping is unknown.
