Essential Order and Shipping Thread

Amazon charges when it ships, and i have never dealt with a company that charges and doesnt send you shipping info... your examples are nonsense, as if you work for Essential. Why dont you call it for what it is.... poor communications, a pattern of missed dates, charging people (3 days ago in my case) with no idea when they are getting there product...even though the company said within 7 days...lies lies, lack of communication, which will equal a lack of trust....except for you of course, you have a excuse for them for everything.
 
Nope, not even close. I simply don't care. It's just a phone. My life is neither hindered nor improved by a material object. I'm 100% unemotional about it. It's delayed. Big deal. I've waited far longer for far more expensive purchases.

If you're that angry, cancel your order or return it when it ships. Or, contact your bank. You're an adult. Handle it like one.

How did you order the camera separate?

The work around is you need to add another phone and camera to your shopping cart. On the next page you will see you can reserve the camera separately. Once you do that just check your email for the reservation confirmation. You do not need to continue the checkout process for the phone unless you want another one. If you reserve it you'll get the same canned email about paying for your camera so it will go out with your phone when it ships. This work around will not last long from what I was told.
 
I have to say, I did not buy the phone yet. i tried posting questions for them on facebook page, I emailed them my questions.
a few days have passed and i did not get any response. not sure what the deal is but its not in their favor...
 
I'm really disappointed with the vague answers from customer service at this point. Yes in the grand scheme of life who gives a crap if my phone ships a few days late but it doesn't leave me with confidence in the company that they have met ZERO of their promises thus far.
 
The order page appears to be down, I have tried IE and Chrome and the Login Button is not working at all. Something is afoot.

I agree with @truthier, It could be any product, once you take my money the company should ship the goods. You have my card information, there is no need to run it until you are ready to ship.

Essential PH-1 might be a great phone, but the way they have handled the release is abysmal. Some of the people here pre-ordered the phone on May 30th expecting and end of June shipment, only to have to wait, and wait, and wait.
Then finally on Aug.16th the emails come out for them to order the phone. Essential on the order page said will ship within 7 days....then on day 7 (business days) they send emails from support saying with 24-48 hours. Okay well today is hour 48.

Sending out the camera purchase option after people have ordered and paid for the phone 7 days ago, and as of today neither has shipped and the debit card has been charged for both. The camera should have been free for those that pre-ordered and ordered the phone IMO.

The website states that purchases ship the following day and will arrive 2-3 business days later, so from the day your order you have 3-4 days. My hope is with the camera purchase yesterday, Essential bundles the camera and phone together and it goes out today and I should receive both next Tuesday or Wednesday.

I'm as excited as the next, I ordered from Sprint so my shipment date has not come and gone yet (8/31), that being said even if they do miss it I have no problem waiting a little while longer
 
You would think someone would respond. Their social media outlets are taking a beating and logic (bad) tells you someone inside the company is discussing this hourly.
 
LOL @ that BGR article. But now I'm worried, Andy won't take our money until the phone ships within 30 days?! Uh oh, do we have to wait 28 more days? :-)

Anyone have links to other social media sites that are bringing up this issue about no delivery, no update, no statement and some people being charged already? I just want to read them. I am surprised none of the tech sites have reported on this.
 
Can the launch of this phone possibly overtake the KEYone as the most disastrous launch in history? I'd say it's getting close!

The bigger issue with the KEYone is that three months later, background notifications still don't work properly even after the June/July/August updates. That effectively renders the phone useless for business. Launches are one thing but pervasive issues are a whole other problem entirely.
