Essential Order and Shipping Thread

I just had another thought, I wonder if my order is being held up because I ordered the phone with the camera, but haven't paid for the camera yet because I no longer want it.

Camera has no impact on the phone orders
 
If Essential cannot get the phones in customers hands, do we think that Amazon will get the inventory the need to fulfill their orders?
 
No, I have not. Seeing that it releases on Amazon in 3 days, not sure if it's worth waiting on Essential. What was the point of reserving the phone to get it first?

Amazon took phone off there website and cancelled preorders

Amazon has superior customer service. At least they would actually look into my order and give me real updates. Plus, if you have the Prime credit card, you can get 5% cash back on Amazon orders.
 
Really? That sucks. I assume you ordered way early as soon as it was available to buy but still nothing? Man how are they deciding to ship orders... They should do by based on order date...smh

I know this does not help others but I received my tracking information last night. So some phones are shipping at least.

Still no shipping details, but I have got a nice long series of emails from different CS people that are blatant lies and repeatedly contradict each other.

I'm thinking that those of us that received shipment emails last night may also be getting the camera included. The wording in the email just says a separate email is going out to notify us that the camera has been shipped but it's using the same tracking number as the phone. How can Fedex use the same number on two separate packages without getting them completely lost in their system. Also my package weight per Fedex is 1.76 lbs. I know people said the phone had some weight but that seems like a lot for just the phone and charger and box.
 
Ordered on the 21st. Order # 48xx with camera being orded on the 24th. Got shipping notice at 3:57 am this morning saying phone only is shipping. Tracking number is not yet active.
 
Ordered mine first thing 8/16. Sent an email to customer service on 8/24 asking for an update. Got a pretty prompt response that they would start shipping soon. But I hadn't gotten email confirmation as of yesterday so I sent another email and didn't get a response until late last night saying:

"I've reviewed your order and I have found that it is currently on our warehouse floor in the midst of fulfillment. This is why an email has not been sent out yet, as the warehouse is still working to complete your order. Once this has been done, a tracking number will be assigned and an email will be sent to you with tracking details. This order should be completed very shortly."

Got the email with tracking info about 2 hrs later. Scheduled delivery 9/1.
 
Someone on XDA stated they just got tracking number and it shows delivery of 9/6. For those who are still awaiting tracking numbers it sounds like another batch is processing but there is the possibility of not receiving the phone until next week.

And Amazon is an Essential investor so if anything at the very least, Amazon is a household name and respected so I would think their phones won't be delayed in shipping! I trust mine will arrive either Friday or Saturday from Amazon. If not, easy cancellation!
 
Was lurking and monitoring this thread, but to add another sad non-shipped notification to the thread so far:

8/16 am: Ordered phone after being on reservation list
8/24 am: Ordered camera after being on reservation list
8/28: Sent Essential support an email saying what's up
8/29: Sent Essential support another email since I hadn't gotten a response yet, and also inquired as to how to cancel order: coincidentally 30 minutes after this email, I got a response to my initial email saying "thing started shipping over weekend, and it will be soon for you!"

Oddly enough, although my credit card has had a pending charge for phone since 8/16, it looks like it wasn't ever fully processed (still says pending). My camera $50 charge already got fully processed.


This is getting dumb: especially if those that ordered first are getting phones shipped later (based on destination location?!).
