Mines on at&t and working fine. Took the Sim out of my iPhone and placed in my essential phone. Did you set up first on WiFi and then insert Sim? You might have to do it at initial setup, I know when I did it downloaded something called carrier settings.

I did set up on wifi first and then insert sim (bc I have 2 step verification turned on for my Google accounts)...maybe I'll try a factory reset?

Yeah, they originally said the 1st. But like Amazon, they pushed it back to the 8th.

Seems to be very inconsistent availability. I ordered at close to midnight on August 29th and got my shipping notice and tracking number today. Hopefully I'll have it by Tuesday.

If folks are looking to know T-Mobile compatibility then you will be happy to know VoLTE and WiFi calling works great. Those settings come up in the settings after you insert the SIM.

Gotta love T-Mobile, works with almost every unlocked phone!

This !!! If you want to use non carrier unlocked phones, T-Mobile is the carrier.

Mine is now in Tennessee. Was in Shenzen 24 hours ago. As I mentioned in an earlier post, after days of no replies to my emails I initiated a charge back with my bank and it went through just over 24 hours ago, so my 699 is back in my account.

The phone will likely be delivered Tuesday. So I will ask you fine folks... Should I try it out for a week and see if it changes my mind? If it does call my bank back?

Or should I just say NO and try to get Essential to actually answer me so I can find out how to return it unopened?

Or should i reject the shipment? Rejecting it would mean it goes back to CHINA! That scares me. A lot.

Personally, I'd try it out for a few days at least. You've made it this far. You already have your money so returning it should be easy if you don't like it for some reason.

Agreement, so glad I switched to T-Mobile, not only do I download at three times the speed of AT&T in my neighborhood, just popped in my sim and wifi calling etc worked righto out of the box.

So I haven't heard anything since the email asking for photo ID etc. I contacted support and their answer is that they've been having technical difficulties, and they will get back to me.
