Everybody got drain!! lol

No lag here either. There is no reason why the S6 would have any less lag than the edge either. (And I'm not a Samsung fanboy either, just came from the HTC M8)

I think lag is dependent on what you have installed/running. Facebook? Twitter? That kind of mess may cause some lag.

Took my phone off charge this morning about 7:30AM. Lost about 2-3% by 08:30AM despite doing nothing more than switching the screen on a few times (about 5 Min Screen Time). So im on 97% after an hour.

Its now 11:50 AM (UK Time) and my Battery is on 91% - Downloaded an app, went of facebook and checked mail. Screen on time is about 24Mins. Wifi is on along with most other setting apart from location as i work from home.

Its been on for about 4 Hour 30Min so at 91% its not bad but i'm not really a heavy user until i finish work which is when Youtube, Music and games come into play.
Think the main problem is the battery drain during the first hour as i really dont know why it looses 2-3% within 30 - 60Min when doing nothing apart from checking the screen.

It looks like a Wi-Fi issue. I lost 53% of the battery over 6h of having the phone on standby with absolutely zero screen time. As soon as I turned of Wi-Fi the battery drain leveled off.
I'm on AT&T and turned off every freakin service and uninstalled all the apps, did the cache cleanup thing etc....

I like the phone but having switched from an iPhone 5 I'm returning this **** before the 14 day window closes if they don't come up with a fix... Sorry Samsung

Here we go with the lag BS. This phone is buttery smooth. Stop the lag nonsense.

There is a teeny tiny amount of lag sometimes when you unlock the phone and open up the app tray straight away. I read somewhere that this is probably a software issue so it will hopefully be resolve in the next update.

Last night on my regular S6 (T-Mobile) I tried something....

I left wifi on and wifi calling on... But I joined my 2.4 GHz network versus my 5 GHz network at home and the drain was very small (1.1% an hour).

It is smooth, at first. Now after about a week and a half I've definitely noticed some lag. Even right now while in the AC forums when I press the home key, I can count one one thousand, two one thousand before the home screen shows up. For various tasks, it's evident.

I have noticeable lag on mine at times to the point where it becomes unresponsive. It is buttery smooth until it isn't. If you haven't seen it, that's great, but that doesn't negate the fact that it does exist.

Do you have Facebook, Twitter, or any other such nonsense installed? If so, try uninstalling them and see if the lag is any different.

Telling people to uninstall some of the most commonly used apps is nonsense. The device should be able to run apps without lag.

What's the point of having top notch specs if people can't install apps??!!!!

He wasn't saying he shouldn't / couldn't use those apps .. he was saying see if it makes a difference.. as in see if the app is bugged for the S6 / S6 Edge. Just like my Xfinity app right now doesn't play on my S6 .. it does on all my other phones but the app is bugged for the S6.

No need to harp on people right away -- he wasn't giving bad advice.

I have to disagree with you as many people on these threads blame Facebook for battery and lag issues.

He called Facebook and Twitter nonsense apps, I'm sure that's what he meant.

Even so the advice is sound. It could very well be bugged for the S6 since it is a new phone and doing things it shouldn't... this is why apps are updated all the time for newer phones. Just like I expect any day now I will have an update that will fix playback for my Xfinity app.

A brand new device with high end specs that can't handle Facebook or Twitter. I hope these issues are resolved by the time I'm ready to upgrade.

You keep mentioning xfinity, is the app creating lag ?

See you're missing the key point .. it doesn't matter if the device is brand new. If an app is not programmed correctly to work (or has a bug) with said device .. hardware is irrelevant :).
