Getting ready to pull the trigger.
It's OK. Not too exciting. Kinda like an Android iPhone like people have been saying. Nothing flashy about it.
Honestly, you're better off just using the phone yourself and making your own mind about it, positive or negative.Ordered it... currently trying to avoid ALL NEGATIVE POSTS RE: Google Pixel as to avoid buyer's remorse. ONLY HAPPY POSTS for this girl...lol
It's the internet so some (maybe many) of the negative comments could be from people claiming to have the phone but don't.. There are a TON of haters for this phone and my guess is that 99% of the hate is from people who do not have it..Ordered it... currently trying to avoid ALL NEGATIVE POSTS RE: Google Pixel as to avoid buyer's remorse. ONLY HAPPY POSTS for this girl...lol

I read a whole lot of negative comments after it was announced. From the price to no OIS to no ip68 water resistance etc, and when I finally got it...all that stuff really doesn't matter (to me at least) when you're using the phone.
It's got the best camera I've used on a phone, so I don't care if it doesn't have OIS. When I snap a pic and take a video, I'm getting excellent results, so I don't care what the camera module is, I'm just happy that it does a great job.
As for water resistence, as long as it can handle getting splashed on, that's all I'm after. No I'm not planning on going scuba diving to whip out the phone and send a text.
I've come to ignore a lot of comments on the phone, simply because they're emotional responses - not well thought out, articulated comments made after days of using the phone.
The only opinion that matters, is yours.
I'm so impressed with this phone that I'm not interested in the Galaxy S8, HTC 11, LG G6 etc. The next phone in my sights is the Pixel 2.
Why would I, or anyone for that matter, be trying to justify buying something that I, or they, can return???????Most positive reviews / statements are going to be from people who have the phone and are justifying their decision to buy it
Haha well we'll see when the next batch of phones roll around, but I can't say I've been this 'satisfied' with a phone.hehe yeah right.Honeymoon is not over yet & your spring fling is just a few months away via S8/11/G6.
I've been around long enough to recognize some user id's & those who have an addiction.
btw, pure sarcasm & good to see positive responses to the Pixel.
Getting ready to pull the trigger.
Too many things about this phone are mediocre, but the deal breaker was that it does not play well with Android Auto (seriously Google!?).
They might fix it, but might not. Bye bye Pixel.
It will be money very well spent. Its super strong and durable. Plus with a Snapdragon 821, it will last you at least 3 years. Plus you get all the latest updates from Google. It really is a Win Win![]()
