Evo 3D Software Update August 18

The software update for the HTC EVO 3D provides the following fixes and enhancements:
Device Lockscreen stuck in “half-state”
Ability to transfer all contacts over bluetooth.
Birthday one day off between contacts and Facebook when synced.
Random GPS coordinates issue – stuck in Taiwan.
Lockscreen displays 3 digit temperature correctly.
Spiderman demo lockups.
Making additional preloaded apps un-installable by user.
Update to applications: Spiderman, Watch, Qik.

Has anyone else noticed that you have to hold the power button in longer to the get shutdown/airplane mode/restart menu? Maybe it's just me.

My Mirror app is still there, but I'm not sure if that's because I had it as a shortcut on my one of my screens.

I just checked, and I think it takes longer too. My in-call volume seems to have gone up, as well as sounding clearer

Wow I'm amazed that not one person has mentioned the fact that this update included the latest build of gingerbread 2.3.4. I don't know about you guys but bug fixes aside I am very excited about this.

I did on the first page of this topic. I was wondering why we don't have video chat available in Google Talk.

Maybe it's just me, but the app drawer seems to open and close slower. Before, once I tapped that button, it would be there almost instantaneously. Now, I can see it go up upon opening and down upon closing. Not that it affects anything. Just different.

Mine is still instantaneous. Haven't noticed anything different.

I'm so excited that this update consists more that what was initially reported. Now I must re-track all of my negative statements and views that I had towards the EVO 3D. Good job HTC

Android 2.3.4 for EVO 3D!!!!!

Don't know if anybody noticed but the new update from today august 18 is actually 2.3.4!!! Can't believe it passed me unnoticed!!!

Maybe they will add it to the hub and took it off so it wasn't taking up space on people's phones that weren't using it.

One thing that wasn't fixed for me is the Weather refresh on the home screen. Still gotta click on the app to get it to refresh sometimes. I'm still very happy with this update however!!! And Picasa is fixed for me as well!

My phone has been off the charger for 13 hours and 30 minutes and I still have 66 battery left.
Granted, I have been in places with wifi for most of my day, but still, that's insane. I think the update has something to do with it as well.

So far I dont see an increase in any volume.

Well folks it looks like permatemproot doesnt work anymore after the update. I tried both the temproot and permatemproot batch files and I cant get it to temproot now. Oh well hopefully the maker of the program can get this fixed.

Also I havent noticed any sound fix for the low sound issue. Some people say they noticed a little change but I sure didnt. This update is a software update and not a firmware so maybe it will get fixed with the flash. Any thoughts on that?

Just got my update for mine! 2.3.4! And it doesn't matter wear you live for the update it matters when you got the phone.
