Ok, Here are a few shots taken using both my Epic 4G and my Evo 4G.

Notes:
1) I'm not a photographer
2) I used Vignette on the Evo 4G
3) I used both the Stock camera and Vignette for the Epic
4) The Epic pictures were taken while there was more sunlight out, the Evo was more in optimum lighting.
5) Neither has been retouched in any way
6) All Vignette shots were done using Steady Shot mode.
7) ISO, Exposure, etc settings were all left on auto for both devices.

I also have 720p video shot with both phones, just don't know where to upload it yet.

I have found that the epic takes under saturated pictures that are OK on a computer but look really nice on the phone itself.

WOW my decision to forgo the EVO and wait for the Galaxy S was correct!

EDIT: I'm assuming due to the fact that Samsung creates digital cameras that they were able to use their expertise in the field to fashion the software brain for the camera in the Galaxy S. HTC doesnt make digicams so they are obviously at a disadvantage. I'm surprised HTC and Sprint both deemed the EVO camera acceptable on a flagship device.

How are the cameras on the other HTC handsets. Are they all this poor?

One thing that is obvious though is that you took the EVO and EPIC photos at different hours of the day. The Sun in the EPIC shots are obviously lower and less intense. Can you do more comparisons with the pics taken at the same time?

Yeah, I took the Evo pictures, then left to return it for the Epic. Best I can do is try and wait til tomorrow and take the Epic pics again around the same time I took the Evo pics.
