I used drocapture to take screenshots of the linpak and quadrant scores but am not sure how to post them on here. Right now I have Cyanogen6.0 & Snap7.6+Turbo.

Linpak: 38.175

Quadrant: 2497!! WOW!

SetCPU: 1.19Ghz. Performance Scaling

Neocore: 32.0FPS Average

FPS2D: 53FPS Average, stdev=4.92

BenchmarkPi: 923 milliseconds Average

From what I can tell these are flat out amazing results. How does everyone else compare?

Opinions, recommendations, comments?

Specifically, is there any way to raise FPS?? Also, my

Going to try to hike these scores up as much as possible to try to discover potential of EVO!

Why overclock?

regarding the FPS...latest OTA lifted the FPS cap so you should be sitting at 54FPS or so.

Screenshots or it didn't happen.

Linpack isn't terribly impressive, I get 37.6 just by overclocking on stock.

Quadrant can be cheated, and is influenced by the stupidest things (like how full your memory is). I mean, really, think about it. Whereas a standard score of ~1300 becomes nearly 2500 with 200mhz extra and a different ROM? You know something fishy is going on there.

FPS2D I get the same value.

At some point is is just an epeen thing.

I was listening to an Android podcast that has a bunch of android phone geeks on it and they were talking about the phones and chips and how fast they are getting. They basically said there really is no use for more speed past a certain point at this time. Were not running Crysis on these things and all you really want is a buttery smooth interface and snappy apps which the better phones all have.

They were wishing that phone makers would put there R and D dollars into longer battery life instead of faster speeds.

I'm relatively new to "forum-ing" so I'm not too sure how to post screenshots on here. But I do have them. I seem to be getting a lot of negative feedback about this though.

I did it as more of a "just to say I could" kinda deal. What is everyones opinion on the most user friendly, snappy, fast, battery-savoring rom and kernel available. I had Myn's Warm TwopointTwo and Kings kernel 11 prior to Cyanogen and Snap.

Any recommendations?

I've gotten 2700+ on quadrant with snap Turbo.

Its not that much faster all around though, i think it cheats on quadrant.

+1. Quadrant is just a number. IMO, its how fast the phone functions with daily tasks...that's what really matters
