EVO/Droid and a GoDaddy Email Account

I'm having a really hard time setting up a GoDaddy Email account.

Does anyone know how to do this?

What is the problem? Will it connect with the server? Just keeps spinning when trying?

It will not connect to the server.... I've tried all the POP's IMAP's.... Nothing....

Are you able to connect to this acct using outlook? Use the same settings as outlook... (pop3/smtp - works fine for me)


incoming mail server - pop.secureserver.net
outgoing smtp - smtpout.secureserver.net
username/password - depends on your accts

outgoing server requires authentication (same as incoming server)
incoming server - port 110
outgoing server - port 80

These are the settings that I use - works fine.

incoming server: imap.secureserver.net
Port: 993
Security: SSL

No matter what I try, IMAP doesn't work. POP does.

Any thoughts?

Try another client, such as Outlook, to see if that works. GoDaddy has a bunch of resources to help you setup IMAP with outlook. If that works, then you know IMAP works and you just need to config the phone.

You have to ensure that the account has imap enabled as well.

Try CompuServe for all your email needs...(sorry, couldn't resist)

Have you tried rebooting your phone before setting it up? The ports are correct, so I don't see why there would be a hangup.

Same issue. All IMAP settings correct and account works on all other devices. Tech support for Go Daddy and Samsung ( Galaxy Skyrocket) blamed the other.

All settings are accepted. All folders are correct but empty. Can send e-mails and sent folder shows sent e-mail for about 10 secs and disappears. Never receives e-mails at all.

ideas as to where the problem is? phone, AT&T, Go Daddy?

I need to figure out who to pressure into a fix.
