Evo HDMI out mirroring?

All,
It is here finally, FullHDMI "limited time" public beta is attached in this post. This version is to mass test the app and get feedback before the next step.
I will be making an announcement later today about the beta and its purpose, but for now I am attaching it and going to get some sleep. You will need the Kernel posted several pages back on this thread to enable some features, and root. I just realized that non-root is broken as of this version.

Some of the things you need to know about before tinkering with the app, pasting quickly:

And also:

Enjoy.

Sam app is still clipping pretty bad on my Panny G25.
I also tested on my spanking new Panny VT20 for a brief period & got same results.
It occurs during any motion that takes place on all res settings & Plasma break-in slides showed major delay on color transition with lots of left overs from previous color which tells me app isn't keeping up refresh rate to a suitable/Safe speed for everyday use on Plasma.

Oh & future testing wont be taking place on VT20 anytime soon.
Just picked up last night it needs 100 break-in before contrast/brightness levels exceed 50%.

Also,
You might want to add a Beta disclaimer keep yourself out of trouble if problems arise on his/hers display due to app use.

The clipping or flickering occurs more frequently with higher Htz tvs. Orrebmas is working on rewriting the drivers in the kernel to fix this issue.

It was just brought to my attention that the donate button was "broken". If you have donated then please go to your paypal account and you will see the donation there "unclaimed" (and cannot be claimed). I have fixed it and tested it, now it works. I am reposting the apk.
I should have tested if the donate button works, oh well. Anyways this new upload should have the fix in.

Thanks.

Thanks Sam, i will be donating as a small token of my appreciation for your hard work and i hope that everyone else that makes use of these app donates as well i know that the biggest excuse is "I can't afford it" but even a little bit helps...
Once again thanks for your hard work.

Thanks so much orrebmas please hurry with the no root version I will donate as soon as I can I commend you for your efforts

I updated the OP a little to include links to the .apk and module posts. Cali can polish it up later.

Quick question... Is there a way to get home screen into portrait instead of landscape?
San amazing app thanks for all your hard work was def worth the wait!!!!

I tried this on my rooted Evo 4G running Fresh ROM 3.5.0.1 w/ Netarchy 4.1.9.1 CFS kernel, and unfortunately it doesn't work.

The first time I ran it, I had the USB charging cable (in Charge Only mode) plugged in as well. When I loaded up the program, the entire phone froze requiring a battery pull.

The second time I ran it after reboot, I disconnected the USB charging cable first. This time, it didn't freeze the system, but some things:

1. It didn't notice that my HDMI cable was connected until I started the service.
2. After plugging in the HDMI cable, the stock HDMI icon appeared in the taskbar in addition to the FullHDMI icon.
3. After starting the service, I flipped my monitor input to the HDMI input. The monitor has an auto-search function, so if it does not recognize any input from device, it will flip to the next available active input. It did NOT flip away from the input, meaning it was receiving a signal from the Evo. However, the signal was pure black, no actual data being displayed.
4. I tried playing with different options (force full resolution, Supercharge Mode, stopping and restarting the service) and trying different programs (QQPlayer, RockPlayer). Nothing caused the mirroring to work.

I'm still excited to try this, and hope you find and fix the problems, but unfortunately it doesn't work yet for me on my Evo 4G running Fresh 3.5.0.1.

It won't work unless you flash the kernel from this thread.

That my friend, is Myn's warm Z + full HDMI mirroring + the camera. :D

Haha wow I guess I fail as a tester *face palm

I just flashed Warm Z last night to see if FullHDMI would work with it. I installed the apk but forgot to flash the kernel! ugh Software mode didn't work is all I noticed haha

So I just reflashed it and noticed that YouTube and stock Media player are almost watchable with Warm Z, just lots of flicker
