i have the Evo and i love it, coming from a blackberry tour i have to admit some days i miss the keyboard and i def. miss the radio in the tour, i could get a signal in places i can't with my Evo.
with that said, the Evo does everything you could ever ask a phone to do.
i had my first experience with 4G over the weekend in Boston and OMG it's fast! (10mb/s)
google maps, navigation, websites...everything just loads almost instantly. the phone performs extremely well with a good 4g connection. now a lot of this loads just as fast on a good wifi connection as well but really how often do you use maps and navigation over wifi?
in real world performance it's amazing, it was a whole different experience once i connected to 4G.
side note: 4G will eat your battery, i recommend a Seidio 3500ma extended battery if you want your phone to last any length of time. i was getting between 8 and 10 hours with 4G, also bear in mind i was using my phone a lot more because i was like a kid with a new toy when i connected to 4G :-D
and of course wandering around a city i had never been to i was using google maps a lot more (i have a whole new respect for google maps, it's friggan amazing)
