However, as an unrooted user, I would like the option to uninstall things like NASCAR, SprintTV etc. It's my phone, I paid for it, I would like to ability to remove certain things, if only for the extra space.

I completely agree. I feel like forcing bloat on users is wrong. Making the option available is fine... but don't put apps on my phone whenever someone is willing to give you money.

That said, it isn't a perfect world and this same problem exists on other platforms. At least with Android, you have the option to get rid of it if you're willing to root your phone.

I don't believe there is anything to determine who is getting the update or not - I know people in this building that got it yesterday, some who got it today, and I am still waiting on it... Somewhat insane, guess they have only have a few servers, very few, which is a cause for concern on many other levels.

perhaps you should take your phone to sprint and get a new one.

4g does not lag a phone. i run 4g all the time. works like a charm.

or perhaps you are in a border area.

either way, i suspect it's not the phone that is the problem.

Ppl that now have the update...can we get some feedback? Apparently there's a potential audio streaming issue? Anyone w/ tune-in radio that can confirm or deny an audio issue?
Also curious what changes have been made to sprint tv...additions? Prettier look? My main concern is does it still include Espn?
Definitely put me down as a person considering not updating, just hoping for some positive feedback since all we've heard mostly negative Nancies so far!

I was having problems with streaming, but it seems like it just broke the app that I was using (Winamp). Tune In seems to work just fine. I've found that Antplayer works fine as a Winamp replacement for getting Shoutcast feeds. So, yeah... audio still works, just certain apps were broken.

Mine and other friends that have an EVO would lag due to the 4G lag issue before we did a hard reset and its good for now but it is an issue and has been discussed many times on different forums, just because it doesn't make it to the main sites it doesn't mean a lot of people are not having the issue.

I gotta say Im kind of offended to see so many new evo owners getting the update before those of us that bought our evos on launch day. truth be told Im not even really that interested in the update as I have had the Swype beta for months but its the principal of the matter lol
