Excessive data usage on Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge

We recently purchased new phones. We have had them 13 days as of today. We purchased a large data 12 GB so I could use my Hotspot occasionally. We have never used more that 6GB on any device even when roaming. We have used a total of 10 GB in less than 10 days!!! We are connected to WiFi most of the day. It shows my hot spot using 4.31GB higher than expected I have maybe used 2 hours total. Most of the data usage is on my phone at almost 8GB. Husbands is a a little less than 3GB. We have 18 days left this month! I have disabled, blocked, turned off, almost everything in my phone. I do not watch movies liste to music or any of this stuff. Removed Apps & Users has used 1.47GB and play store has used 1.14GB. I am blown away and don't know how to stop the data burn!
