Exchange email on Xoom

Hey everyone, I don't know how many of you are using exchange email, but I noticed that when I go to create an email from any of my accounts (gmail, exchange, etc) in the address field it searches through my exchange contacts even though they're not synced. I was wondering if anyone knows how to shut this off or if anyone has even been having similar issues. Again, sync exchange contacts is off.

I noticed this today too. I work at a university and it pulls in all faculty, staff, and students (over 25,000 email addresses). Very annoying.

Yes, I attend a university and I get all 10,000 email addresses. It's extremely annoying, and the last thing I want to do is accidentally send an email meant for someone else to a professor.

I will be getting my exchange on my xoom in a couple of days...will test it out and let you know

I don't see anyway to disable this. I only use the stock email client for my yahoo and work accounts so it doesn't bother me that much especially since the search works a lot better than on my comupter, but I could see how auto searching everyone in your GAL could be annoying.

Well if there is indeed no way to fix this annoyance, I suppose all I can do is hope for an option in an upcoming update.

its not syncing contacts, its pulling the GAL (global address list) from the exchange server. There has got to be a way to turn it off. I like it on though, but I dont have that many people in my GAL.
