After a bit of a disappointing (for me) Pixel 2 announcement, I'm really looking forward to the mate 10, the Kirin 970 really intrigues me! And I'm loving the leaks design so far! Anyone else excited?

I know it's a bit oversaid, but a headphone jack. It really bothered me how last year they made fun of apples 'courage' and then they did the same thing. I use my headphones daily, often when my phone is charging. I don't want to lose that functionality or pay extra for a dongle. I do accept that sooner or later they'll probably disappear from most phones (like the removable battery) and I'll have to make do then, but not yet!
I prefer the way the mate 9 looks and like what I've seen from leaks for the mate 10.
With the Honor 9 they improved audio quality, hoping something similar comes to the mate 10.
Battery life will be stellar with the mate 10.
The Kirin 970 will set the bench mark for how quick processors need to be for 2018. Considering the 960 is a year old and still a top tier processor is impressive.
The mate 10 is also likely to be cheaper, and have expandable memory, which if you work in the countryside like I do, is essential for storing music etc. There isn't good enough signal for streaming.
All in all I've had a honor 8 for the last year and it has easily been the most reliable phone I've ever had. It works well all the time. Much better than my s7 I had before.
The only area that Huawei/honor need to really step it up (in my view) is the speed and frequency of security patches and general updates.
Don't get me wrong, the camera on the pixel 2 is very likely to be better and for other people will probably be something to get excited over, just doesn't meet what I hope for in a phone.

For me, customer support is important. Particularly overnight replacement. And this is usually only achieved though carriers. Verizon replaced my phone and I got it the next day, just a few hours before I went on a long vacation, and at no additional cost. I have yet to see a manufacturer do this.Agreed, Huawei slow updates or lack of, is the only really big downside, and a big plus to google over any phone, other than that, Mate 9 all the way till Mate 10 comes.
Mate 10 is the only phone that can have a great DAC and have a great battery life when using it, i hope they will pay attention to sound even more.

I should specify in the usa, which is where I am located. Most people here buy through carriers.Well in my country most of the phones are unlocked, no carriers involved so idk about that.
But i agree that customer service is very important, and Samsung are really lack in that department, idk about Huawei or google, since i never tried.
The latest rumors that I saw indicate that it will be wide.Is the mate 10 going to have the wide body? I hate all these narrow phones.
Well the adapter should be included in the boxI can see how bringing additional cord just to use the headphones can be annoying.
