I got a hard case at Best-Buy (their Rocketfish in-house brand) and it is VERY form fitting and tight, so I was worried that it might not fit with my extended battery and accompanying back. But, there is so little difference between the two batteries that the case fits perfectly!

Now, I am going to be on the lookout for a dock that will work with the case on (I doubt the official dock will do that since the sensors on the side are now recessed a bit).

Great news I ordered a Seidio case today.....the surface combo. I have had very good luck with Seidio stuf so I hope it fits the G-Nex with extended battery. I will let everyone know when I get it. By the way the phone is awesome.

That's awesome, I like seidio cases and didn't know they were available for the gnex .

This wasn't the case for me with the Verizon case / holster combo I bought. The extended battery added just enough that the case didn't fit as snug as it did without it. So mileage may vary depending on case, etc.

I had the same results on both the Verizon holster combo, and the silicone/hard case combo. It is so close though!

Ah, that is too bad. I was using that Verizon silicone/hard case combo at first, but with just the silicone and it worked fine, never even put the hard part on it. I am taking that one back, though, now that I have this new one.

I use the Verizon with the extended battery and the ORIGINAL back and it fits nicely into the Verizon case. I don't use the holster part, but I like the case because of the flip out stand.

I'm going to try this because the extended cover definitely doesn't fit inside the case snuggly.

Will it work with the shell holster case

Interesting. I'm still testing the stock battery before determining if I need to move to the extended I bought. When I get home I'm going to see how well that works. If I can I don't see the reasoning behind the new back panel?! When I looked at them briefly the batteries looked the same size. Humm....

For what it's worth the extended stuff fits the Incipio case fine as well.

There is a reason why it comes with a new back cover, the original cover with the extended battery will put pressure/stress into the screen/phone which will make itmore susceptible to breaking. fyi

This is the case and holster ill be getting. Just got the email from the yesterday saying it was available. Ill be very happy if the extended battery will fit, but these cases are very snug so it may not fit.

Re: Extended battery so thin, standard hard case fits w/o problem

And just in case no one knows this - the extended battery and cover is half-price on vzw.com. Just bought it 10 minutes ago.

Yeah didn't think about that, have to take a look at the difference and see what it's about this afternoon.

Re: Extended battery so thin, standard hard case fits w/o problem

Forget where I saw it, but there was an article stating it will NOT fit; just as someone above said it puts more pressure on the device and it shows on the screen when you are pressing it..

Hmm I see it at full price.$49.99

For me it shows up as 49.99, adding it to cart takes it down to 25 dollars. Trying to check out bumps it back up to 37 dollars.

I bought two of them and am going to try and find an external charger for it.

Let me know if you end up finding an external charger for the 2100 extended battery.

Just put in my extended battery...why did this not come stock?!? Phone is hardly thicker! I'm loving this.

Re: Extended battery so thin, standard hard case fits w/o problem

I just put the extended battery in. Im using the cover that came with the extended battery. The TPU case Verizon is selling fits just fine with the extended battery installed. There is no noticible difference.

I just got a notice my seidio surface case shipped. Im hoping it will fit the nexus with the extended battery too. I'll post something when it comes in.

Sounds like you are trying to use your corporate discount. If you remove it, you should be able to keep the $25 price. Can't argue with free 2 day shipping either!
