Extra Dim Isn't

P9P, I have consistently used Extra Dim at night so the clock doesn't light up the room.

Lately it's too bright. Im guessing when this began, but maybe two months ago.

I just added the app Night Screen, but would prefer the phone worked as it used to.

I'm hoping someone has a solution.
