Facebook App tapping notifications stopped working

Okay I don't know when it happened but some time in the last two weeks something happened where when I tap on a new comment notification NOTHING happens. If I get an inbox notification I can tap on it and it will take me to the message. Funny thing is that in the comments notification if I tap the person's icon I get taken to their wall. What gives? I have deleted the app and reinstalled had still have the same issue.

Frustrating because I don't remember updating the app or the OS on the phone so I'd like to know what changed or how something on the phone was updated without my consent .

I downgraded the app back to 1.8.1 because of this issue. Works fine for me.

How do I roll back the version of fb? Do I uninstall and then download the older version from the link above?

Thanks for the file... Problem fixed.

Delete the current Facebook. Download the version offered here, copy it to your phone and open it with the phone's file manager. It will then ask if you want to install the APK. Worked like a charm.

Mine was doing the same. Rebooted the phone and FB worked normally again
