Facebook error - "use english for now"

whenever i launch the facebook app, this is the message that displays, "were sorry we cant set up english (english united kingdom) at the moment.use english for now". after tapping this the app opens & works fine. if i leave the app running in the background minimized its ok. its when i close the app properly and open it up again the error comes back.

Have you downloaded English(UK) as a system language (or are you in the UK)?

My unwanted advice to all. Delete Facebook. Open it in your browser. Your battery life and storage and ram will thank you.

Having the same issue, but using Facebook on the browser is really annoying, forcing me to reenter my password each time. Yes I could put a super simple password like 12345, but I don't want to reduce account security because of flaky Android applications, and I really, really, really, really don't want to switch to iPhone just to try and see it may be the same. I guess I have to give up on Facebook and, once again, try to find some alternative, but I'm quite tired of migrating profiles to see, two years later, I'm still stuck.

There is a browser setting that remembers your password.

Did you try to go to app settings..
Clear Cache and data ..
Or delete it restart and download app again ..
Pay attention when you're setting up !
I don't like fb app either..
