Facebook Home... Yay or nay?

Seems like Facebook Home is an complete, NAY.
Most people, in this forum, seem to despise the whole concept of it.

I tried it out , just to see. When I went to uninstall it, it crashed my phone. Not cool. Phone booted back up fine, but it was still there.. turns out you have to turn it off in the regular facebook app also. ( I didn't know you could do that, and downloaded the actual facebook home app) Seems like all is back to normal now, and I am trying out chatheads through messenger with facebook home turned off.

Meh. I gave it a try. It's a fully stand alone launcher app. It loads up completely independent of the standard Faceboook app. I never once saw an ad. In essence it's an animated slideshow of friends Facebook status that uses the full screen. For a v.1.0 app they did very well with it, it does exactly what they set out to do from everything I'd read about it. If you use FB more than anything else on your phone then it makes sense for those people, nothing wrong with that. I just uninstalled it mainly because I prefer my customized launcher screen and I can get to FB with one tap when I want to.

Agree 100% ... Its nice enough but just not necessary enough for me to keep it. I only wish there was a way to enable the chatheads feature while using another launcher.

Chatheads does work over the touchwiz launcher with fb home disabled ... sweet!!

Yep, it also works with Nova Launcher as well.

tried it and deleted it after 10 min. the note 2 is a powerful phone. facebook home took control of it. cant do nothing to. except facebook and the apps and thats it.

Isn't the regular FB app crappy enough to prevent people from downloading this stupid home app? If people stop downloading their stuff, they might actually start to program half decent instead of just trying to be quick with "updates"
