Facebook messenger app used 2gb data overnight, whilst the app and background data were disabled.

Between the 5th and what is now here the 6th of May, my Facebook messenger app somehow managed to use a total of 1.84gb of data, whilst background data was disabled, and whilst I was sleeping. How can I put any stop to this, do I really just have to be that careful about when I have data on?

To be honest, you're better off without installing tbe facebook app. It's bloated, filled with suspicous code, it's always running, and I as a hacker do not trust it.
