Something still doesn't make sense for this, in my opinion. There aren't unlimited formats for pictures that a FB user could export out of FB, or if they are maybe using their browser and right click save as, and then attaching those to an email. I wouldn't think any modern device would have a problem with any of those possible file formats being received or then locally saved/stored.

I want to thank everyone for their suggestions. I've had this issue on 2 devices for years, but it was infrequent and a minor issue.
Recently however, it's happened more frequently, either because of more holiday photos or there are more Facebook users out there. I have received photos from Facebook users in the past with no problem. One of those users told me how he sent photos, but I can't remember what he told me.. Anyway, thanks again.
