I had the original Incredible for a few months before upgrading to the Droid X, and I experienced similar problems as I am experiencing now with my Incredible 2. I am hoping that it is simply something I'm doing wrong, but for the life of me, I can't figure it out. Hoping you all can help.
I originally started with Friendstream, which worked for a few days. Everything updated properly without any concerns. I then downloaded the official Facebook app so I could set up notifications (since Friendstream doesn't seem to do this). Again, no real issues with Friendstream for a few days.
About a week ago however, everything stopped worked. Twitter still updates fine on Friendstream, but Facebook will not update unless I manually refresh the widget. I have tried the following...
- Clear cache and data.
- Remove Facebook and Twitter from Friendstream and add them again.
- Remove Facebook entirely from Friendstream and attempt to use the official Facebook widget.
- Remove the official Facebook app entirely from the phone.
None of these work. The Facebook widget will not update, the Friendstream widget will not update. It seems to be something about the connection with this phone that will simply not update it properly. For the record, my fiance and I share an account and her phone (Droid 2) has been updating the official Facebook widget properly throughout all of the time I've been having problems. On my old phone (Droid X), the Facebook widget would occasionally have problems for a day or two, but it was usually because of known server issues....and for the most part, it worked perfectly.
Does anyone have any advise or suggestions? This is driving me insane!
