When my phone gets bogged, clogged and slows down, I'm in the habit of doing a full factory reset, emptying everything and starting over. But evidently (unbeknownsed to me) a new security measure requiring the ORIGINAL EMAIL AND PSWRD is in place. I've tried all mine and my husbands (just in case) none work. Called Samsung (under warranty till Nov) but I need the receipt. Who keeps receipt past the "returnable T/F)"? And the store manager is no help. It's still brand new (ish- 3 mo used) but all I get is "please enter the email /pswrd 1st associated with..... PLEEEEEAASE HEEEEELP??! Been frustrated on this for 7 months and times running out in Nov. (Warranty)

I'm sorry you're in this situation. Factory Reset Protection is nasty when you don't have the right credentials or didn't know that it was activated. To make things worse, you first need to figure out if this is asking for your Samsung account or the Google one.

Unfortunately, FRP is there for a reason: To curb phone thefts. Support is right: Without a receipt or proper proof of ownership, they won't (and they shouldn't!) unlock the device reset. Most retailers send out digital copies, so if you got that, try finding it in your e-mail inbox.

A little bit more info on FRP here, but won't really help with how to get past it, just understanding why it's there. If it's asking for the Google account, try logging into it on a web browser and checking to see if that device IS registered in the Device Manager; if it is, then that might be the account that you need.
