Factory Resets

So you don't have to reset your app settings? Like selecting specific currencies for your exchange rate app? Or reestablishing security for your bank app? Or formatting Business Calendar? Or create specific weather Widgets for Ouagadougou and Maseru? Or GPS shortcuts to critical places? Or? Or? Or? Or?

No, I don't. Titanium Backup restores the app and the user data. Again, I may be getting the benefit of being rooted but rooting is easy and it allows me to restore through TiBa.

Another poster mentioned Helium as an app that would backup apps and user data without being rooted. Try that. Or root and use TiBa.

If your phone is as unusable as your many threads indicate the logical step is to factory reset - even if it requires hours of installing apps and setting preferences.

Androids are inherently unstable.
I've tried 9 factory resets with zero improvement.

But when I have a free ten hours, I may bite the bullet and root. But I need to do a lot of research first.

Busy days preclude it.

Ok , now I'm really confused. First off, you're the one who started this thread asking whether factory resets are worth all the time and hastle, and now you reveal that you've done 9 with no improvements? WTF? Obviously they don't work for YOU, so I cannot comprehend why you would waste all this time and effort asking if they work for others! What does it matter? You've heard both yes and no and are still in the same place you were when you started this "arduous" thread, to use one of your large words. What have you learned and how has it helped you answer your own question? Can't wait to see if you'll try again! Will you be 0 for 10?
Too many questions!!!
Also one HAS to ask that if you find Androids so unstable, why do you have one? There are other choices that most likely won't leave you so confounded.
And the 10 hour thing? Really? If there were ANY procedure that I perceived would take 10 hours to complete I'd most likely pass on it and leave everyone alone.
And last but not least, busy days certainly don't preclude you from posting ridiculously mind boggling statements! There's no doubt you've spent close to that much time on this one thread(again, as stated earlier) making everyone aware of the fact that you don't have the time to do the very thing that you tried 9 other times! Fascinating!
I eagerly await your next post, as I recently realized that I find your postings strangely and wildly amusing. Kinda like when you see someone put their cup of coffee on the roof of their car and drive away and you just can't help but to watch and shake your head in amazement.
Keep em coming my unusual friend. I needs my chuckles:)

Stability can only be gauged by owning the device, through time. Ehich meand you have to buy first. You cannot test that in a carrier store and History has proven how worthless forums are for getting that type of infornation.
