Hi Guys, my htc One gives me a false over heat warning at times. when it happens i am usually not even using the phone nor is it charging. I hear the alert sound and when I check I can see in the pulled down tray that it shows it is over heating but it is obviously not.. has anyone else experienced this?

Is it an app saying it? Screenshot?

I've had this a few times as well, but my warning message won't even stay in the notification bar. Its happened three or four times, all when the phone has been idle and the temp is less than 95.

I've had it happen twice. Both times the temp was in the 80s. Been a while since it happened though

You guys must have an app I guess. I know I've had my phone hit some high temperatures and I've never seen this warning.

Hmm... try and take a screenshot when it happens, it's definitely a physical issue with your temp as it's reading wrong.

ill try but the alert happens so fast and then its gone.

Same here... I use GSAM Battery Monitor. Do you? Beginning to think (i) the alert is coming from the app, and (ii) it is a bug in the app and not the HTC One.

Hi,
I also experience this issue and just remembered reading the thread that I also have GSam Battery Monitor installed, so this definitely looks like a bug in the app.
