False positive on headphones connection

My ZTE blade spark suddenly thinks headphones are connected. I can't fix it. Tried master reset and my phone still says headphones are connected. Bluetooth turned off. Can't afford new phone. Please help. I can only talk on my phone using speaker when on a call. Other wise I can't hear them and they can't hear me. I can't watch videos either BC I can't hear them.

Perhaps the switch inside the socket is stuck. Try repeated pluggings and unpluggings.

Are you talking about wired or Bluetooth headphones?
