Hi everyone, I got a Galaxy s24 ultra and Google Assistant won't work with my headphones, with any. My friend has the same phone and same thing happens. Samsung "Customer Experts" been for literally two hours try to find a solution remotely via Smart tutor without luck.

When you connect a headphones you should see this prompt come up so then the headphones will appear under devices on Google Assistant, it's the only way for them to work, if they are added to devices via that way. But on the galaxy s24 ultra it just won't happen....

Normally it should show this (from another phone)

And then you would see this

The first message its just not happening I tried everything and so did the Samsung technician remotely.

So devices is empty and they don't work with assistant.

Add device is to add other things, it's not for this.

I wish someone could come up with a solution, I really need them to work. Its not the headphones, I tried with different ones. And they work with my older phone (that runs the same OS etc).

Thank you!

I have my headphones plugged in and nothing shows up

Interesting, mine won't work. Don't know why, I can skip tracks with the buttons etc but not talk to the assistant or do anything related to it.
It's weird because on my A72 the headphones wouldn't work with the assistant until I would get a message to configure them and make them appear under devices, in fact I remember having to clear the data of Google app and even Google Play Services to make that configure notication show up (yes lol this has been a curse with the other phone too but I easily fixed it on the other one). At least now I know they could work without showing up on devices, but not the case yet haha 😂

Found it, I had found it yesterday but I didn't scroll down, I thought it was just for factory reset. If I reset all settings, will i lose saved WiFi passwords etc? And yes I have assistant app, the one with a white icon with some circles? Thanks

Resetting all settings doesn't lose WiFi passwords. Did you clear Data and force stop assistant app?

I did, wait something has changed, I used the Bluetooth ones and kept trying to configure bixby, I disabled bixby and now when I plug the headphones and screen is off and I press the button the screen turns on and the assistant appears at the bottom of the screen, which isn't what I want but Idk, I guess it's something different than just nothing. I still want to make it work properly, I dont want the type of assistant that switches your screen on, it's not as good as searches whatever you say on the Internet, you know the one that pops at the bottom of the screen. This is driving me mental. Lol

Look screen is off and I hold the button screen turns on and I get this shitty assistant lol it doesn't work like the one when you hear the bell sound, I sound stupid. If I reset all settings what settings are going be gone? I'm still restoring every app permission individually lol because I reseted them last night haha (I don't mind tho, we are trying everything)
