False storage glitch doesn't allow phone to accept any more files

I currently have a Samsung gt-s7560m which inaccurately reads the phone's storage. Whenever I try to download a file from the Playstore or try opening a default file viewing app (eg: Music Player, Gallery etc..) it gives me an "insufficient storage available" message, though when I check my phone's Storage under "Settings" it tells me I have 150 MB of free space. Also when I plug it into my computer, it tells me I have "0 bytes free" and won't allow me to move any files into it. Even when I delete files from my phone while it's plugged into the computer no space clears up, it still has 0 free bytes. If anyone knows how to deal with this problem (or perhaps they're separate problems) I would greatly appreciate your help, I don't know much about android phones (not even not fully sure what .apk files are) so I appreciate the use of laymen's terms whenever possible, thanks a bunch.

Your phone "internal storage" is full.
Your pc reads the "usb storage".

Buy a micro SD and start to store your media files and the apps that you can in the "external SD".

To free up some space in your phone boot your device in recovery mode and clean the partition.
