I already tried to root with doird x con step by step and it was taking way to long to download the files, so i just gave up. I am new to flashing roms and all of that, and am scared of bricking my phone, like i said have to use it for work and can't afford to be a tester

What part was taking so long, downloading the files to your computer? Or installing them on your phone with ODIN?

downloading to the computer. had over 30 minutes waiting for the file

That is very strange. Which one were you trying to download, and are you on a laptop or desktop? I will try to download the same file and see what kind of result I get.

Does anyone have a link to the superclean 2.9? Also any known issues?

If you want just the ROM rather than using one of DroidXcon's packages, the ROM by itself can be found in the first post of Adrynalyne's superclean thread here http://forum.androidcentral.com/ver...om-superclean-2-9-1-ea15-eb01-eb16-based.html No known issues that haven't already been resolved. If you are going to download the 2.9 Rom, you will also need to download and flash the 2.9.1 patch to resolve the known issues.

I haven't tried it yet. Will it erase anything on my phone? and i'm still all Verizon bloated 2.1

Flashing the ROM by itself will not wipe your phone, but coming from 2.1 to 2.2 you have to wipe your phone otherwise you are going to run into all kinds of problems. You will need to backup your contacts with backup assistant, or by syncing them with your gmail account, or by exporting them to your sd card. And you will need to backup your apps with MyBackup or MyBackup Pro.

Forgive my gloominess, but neither Verizon nor Samsung have ever publicly confirmed the future availability of Frito. I am therefore suspicious of announcement at this late date that doesn't come through official channels. Plus I am in a cranky mood, anyway.

At this rate, Adrynalyne will have a working Gingerbread ROM going before Froyo comes out officially...
