Favorite contacts on edge gone

Ever since the latest update from tmobile my favorite contacts are not appearing on my edge, the tab is only there sometimes. My settings is all correct and the only way that tab will appear is if I restart my phone and or go into my settings, turn off people edge and back on then it appears again, but only for a little while. Then disappears again, same with restarting my phone. This one of the main reasons I bought this phone. Anyone else experiencing this issue?

I'm running 5.1.1 with t-mobile

Update: I notice this only disappears when I open the app kids mode for my child. Kids mode is a app downloaded from galaxy app store, it let's the child play with his/her games without being able to enter the regular home screen. How frustrating that an app made by Samsung is causing this issue.
