I use FlexT9, and it still works better for me than the newer Swype3.0 beta. Only issue I have is with handwriting mode, it has trouble recognizing my "t" no matter how I try to write it.
I have had flex T9 thinking it provided the T9 input style and bashed them because they didn't. It is a better keyboard than the stock, but has it's quirks. I have since installed the (EvenBetter)NumberPad Keyboard from the market and let me tell you... for me it is the best keyboard providing T9 input. Makes it MUCH easier to message while driving, never need to take your eyes off the road while typing.I haven't tried it yet, but a friend of mine really likes a swype-like one called FlexT9.
I hate the fact that they have T9 in the name, though. Based on the name I would expect that it tries to emulate and old-school number pad for people who have T9 in muscle-memory and just can't give it up. Not the case.
Somebody in their marketing department should be fired.
