I've never side-loaded before, any have guidance for a 1st timer. I downloaded the OTA and the platform tools.

let me guess this still doesn't fix the slow waking of the screen when using the FP or power button, WTF google this has been months now and you can't fix this. It makes using the phone so annoying

Nice I already side loaded but by next month should have the 12.* Google play services version since I'm on Google play services beta track. Hopefully for March the check for update works

That's funny. My Google Play Services is 11.9.75 and I got the OTA by using the check for updates button...

Signing up for the play service beta did nothing for me. Play service never gave any update to any beta even tho it says I'm a beta tester. Curious why it works for some and not others. The Droid life guy said it didn't work for him either.

I went ahead and signed up... Had to exit Google play and go back to the link. Then updated. After the app updated I had to hit the system update button twice and it worked.... Downloading now.

I checked, there was no update. Then I updated google play services beta from apk mirror. Hit the update button, and it is downloading now
