February 22 ???

Hahaha - In case you can't tell, I've been kinda sitting on this thread. :o

Well, apparently once the order is "in progress" it can't be modified in any way...including changing addresses or cancelling. So I guess I learned a lesson today. This isn't Verizon with the launch of the iPhone 4. Oh well, I'll just play with it when I get back from travel. :-[

Did this come from a store or customer service? I'd ask for a supervisor and push a bit. I was told orders can be cancelled until they ship. Once they ship you can't do anything about it. Usually a store employee would be more helpful since they get paid for these things as opposed to a CS agent that has nothing pushing to really help you out.

Sorry to hear that, man!

I know when I pre-ordered, I did so with the thought in the back of my mind that it could very well arrive while I was out of town late next week. I'm lucky in that it appears that won't be the case.

I did talk to a CS agent, but there wasn't any hesitation in his voice. He said matter-of-factly that once the order shows up in the "in progress" status, he can't do anything to it. He said I can deny the shipment on delivery and that will cancel it, and then I can reorder it to be delivered to a COR store, but that is really my only option. If he even hesitated a little bit, I would've asked to speak with a supervisor. I mean, maybe he's wrong, but it didn't seem like he didn't know what he was talking about.

FYI, there's been movement on the money in my account.

I pre-ordered online a couple hours after it went live on the 13th, and since that time the money has been in "pending" status in my bank account. This morning it was still pending.

I checked a couple minutes ago, and the pending charges are off. That ALWAYS happens before a charge goes through (Navy Federal).

I also ordered a couple hours after pre-ordering started and I just looked and my pending charges are now gone too. I SOOO hope you are right!!!

I just called the AT&T order status line and while they were still kind of vague, the guy did say he's heard some conflicting info but they DID get a memo today about a Feb 22nd release! And he said if I pre-ordered I (we) would get it before anyone else. I even asked him about the fund hold/pending change and if it denoted anything, but he wouldn't give me a concrete answer. :(

I'm just worried because I'm leaving the morning of the 24th to go out of town for TWO weeks and I RILLY want it before I go. Sniff...

Looks like I'll be checking the forums, my order status, email, and bank account like a hawk for the next (hopefully) little while. ;)

I just got off the phone with customer service on my order and they told me that my phone and accessories were due to ship tomorrow. They said that the goal is for all pre-orders to be in customers hands no later than the 21st. In fact - he said that based on your proximity to the shipping warehouse - you could have your phone on Saturday. He indicated that I might have mine on Saturday due to my address.

I also had him confirm that all the accessories (laptop dock, vehicle dock, charging dock and screen protectors) were in stock and ready to ship. He said that he could see my order and that it was complete and being prepped to ship tomorrow.

That's reassuring. Just got off the phone with rep who said that I couldn't change my order to in-store pickup. Couldn't even cancel it if I wanted to, but my order status still says "processing", yet she said that my order has shipped. (?!)

Granted, I went through the regular consumer channels, not premier or corporate like some of you.

It may have shipped... sometimes they have access to more updated info than the website we see. If it changes this evening then they are shipping. I hope it's true and that they shipped, I'd like to pick up my phone this weekend.

To add insult to injury, I just picked up my Nexus One yesterday from the repair store. Had to replace a broken screen. If I had just waited...

guys, even if the phone hasn't shipped yet to us, shipping is overnight or two day so it will get to you by the 22nd i think.

This is quite reassuring. Hopefully, that's the case and we'll start seeing tracking numbers tomorrow.

If there was only one appropriate moment to use the trollingo, "first", At&t and Motorola should use it with their Atrix haha.

No kidding. I am on Verizon and their data download speeds suck. The iPhone4 launch has been a flop for them and they can't figure out when the Thunderbolt is being released...all the while iPhone4 sales remain strong on AT&T and they are launching the best phone yet - early!!! I can't wait.

Verizon and Apple really blew it. They wanted to get the phone out so bad they didnt really seem to think the launch numbers through. If i was apple, i would of launched iPhone 5 on verizon and ATT at the same time and killed some set records.
