Well, apparently once the order is "in progress" it can't be modified in any way...including changing addresses or cancelling. So I guess I learned a lesson today. This isn't Verizon with the launch of the iPhone 4. Oh well, I'll just play with it when I get back from travel. :-[

FYI, there's been movement on the money in my account.
I pre-ordered online a couple hours after it went live on the 13th, and since that time the money has been in "pending" status in my bank account. This morning it was still pending.
I checked a couple minutes ago, and the pending charges are off. That ALWAYS happens before a charge goes through (Navy Federal).

That's reassuring. Just got off the phone with rep who said that I couldn't change my order to in-store pickup. Couldn't even cancel it if I wanted to, but my order status still says "processing", yet she said that my order has shipped. (?!)I just got off the phone with customer service on my order and they told me that my phone and accessories were due to ship tomorrow. They said that the goal is for all pre-orders to be in customers hands no later than the 21st. In fact - he said that based on your proximity to the shipping warehouse - you could have your phone on Saturday. He indicated that I might have mine on Saturday due to my address.

Granted, I went through the regular consumer channels, not premier or corporate like some of you.

To add insult to injury, I just picked up my Nexus One yesterday from the repair store. Had to replace a broken screen. If I had just waited...It may have shipped... sometimes they have access to more updated info than the website we see. If it changes this evening then they are shipping. I hope it's true and that they shipped, I'd like to pick up my phone this weekend.
This is quite reassuring. Hopefully, that's the case and we'll start seeing tracking numbers tomorrow.I just got off the phone with customer service on my order and they told me that my phone and accessories were due to ship tomorrow. I also had him confirm that all the accessories (laptop dock, vehicle dock, charging dock and screen protectors) were in stock and ready to ship. He said that he could see my order and that it was complete and being prepped to ship tomorrow.
Just wanted to say..........suck it Verizon and HTC!
If there was only one appropriate moment to use the trollingo, "first", At&t and Motorola should use it with their Atrix haha.
No kidding. I am on Verizon and their data download speeds suck. The iPhone4 launch has been a flop for them and they can't figure out when the Thunderbolt is being released...all the while iPhone4 sales remain strong on AT&T and they are launching the best phone yet - early!!! I can't wait.
