Ok, I have had my EVO rooted from the jump. I have always keep up with it. I got comfortable with what I had (ROM wise) and kinda just maintained. Enter my speaker went out and I have a new fresh evo. It appears that some things have changed. Here is my phone info:

hardware version: 0003
Android version 2 2
Baseband version: 2 15 00 09 01
Kernel version: 2 6 32 15-g59b9e50 htc-kernel@and18-2 #17
Build Number: 3 30 651 3 CL272076 release-keys
Software Number: 3 30 651 3
PRI Version: 1 77_003
PRL Version: 60672

Can someone please direct me to "new" rooting instructions for this or can I use Unrevoked and have FULL ROOT (nand unlock)

Thanks ahead of time.

With your build I assume you have HBoot 2.02, but you can check by powering off the phone, then when it's off, hold the down volume button and press the power on (sorry if you already know this). This puts you into the white bootloader screen, where it will tell you what your HBoot version is.

If it's 2.02, rooting instructions are here.

If it's not 2.02, then refer to the sticky at the top of this Hacks forum by Liquid Jesus on how to root. Or, you can use Unrevoked and hope for the best, but there's no way to troubleshoot if something goes wrong. Also, unrevoked 3.21 does not work for hboot version 2.02 and will not give you full root.

Good luck.
