[FINAL][ENDOFLIFE][ROM][ZVD] Joylicious, JoyOS, v1.0.3d - 8/25!

Re: [STABLE][ROM][ZVD] Joylicious, Port of JoyOS + CM7, Alpha1 6/

so....maybe remove this line from the OP? ;D

Also, a suggestion, you have to scroll for what seems like an eternity to get past the screenshots to the install instructions. maybe put the screenshots after the instructions, or eliminate some of the screenshots and give a link to them somewhere else?

I am looking forward to trying out this ROM soon!
Good work.

Will Do.. Thanks..

..

Soon?:'(

Freaking amazing. Just flashed, got 3g with instructions, enabled wifi, made a call.

I am blown away.

Gotta finish setup so I can show my friends my new iPhone 6. LOL

edit -

Duh, works better if I flash the correct gapps; the one for ics does not work so well (roll eyes)

Thanks.. In the next build, I'll hopefully fix the "ON and OFF" Sliders in all of the apps (I hate "| and O".. It DRIVES me NUTS)..

And then fix the "Virgin Mobile" branding and some of the grammar errors in Settings..

Re: [STABLE][ROM][ZVD] Joylicious, Port of JoyOS + CM7, Alpha1 6/

I love my iPad
I think that's mostly because:
1. Android so far hasn't put as much thought into tablets as Apple (ICS is good for tablets, but not every tablet has it). Honeycomb was pretty bad, and ICS is mostly fixing those problems. I think the nexus 7 is coming, and things will change.
2.(This one's the kicker). IOS has more apps than android. While android has plenty of apps too, the proportion of tablet apps on IOS is much higher. That's rapidly improving, but it's got a ways to go. I don't know how many times I've read the description of an updated on my transformer prime that said "Optimized for tablets" or some such. Devs are still getting there, and that's why (except for android fanboys) an ipad is still the top choice.

Re: [STABLE][ROM][ZVD] Joylicious, Port of JoyOS + CM7, Alpha1 6/

hey great rom! but my backlit keys stay on :/

Try wiping system, boot, data, cache, dalvik cache when you flash..

Mine doesn't do it so it must be something that is giving you a problem..

Try wiping system, boot, cache, dalvik cache and flash the ROM again..

EDIT - My KEYS DO stay on ONLY when I am charging, but no other time..

Yeah.. try that to see if it fixes it.. I am guessing that your keys are lit constantly (all the time)....

If you mean that they are lit when charging, I will look in how to disable the key back-light while charging...

Re: [STABLE][ROM][ZVD] Joylicious, Port of JoyOS + CM7, Alpha1 6/

WILL be putting a "ON and OFF" slider switch patcher tomorrow...

Built the flash-able zip for the patcher, but the "OFF" .png file in Settings needs work... The "O" is cut off by the middle button slider thing..

I will fix the .png file tomorrow and zip it up and post it.. It is just one or two .png files so it shouldn't take but two seconds..

Thanks for a GREAT community of Joylicious Optimus lovers!!

Thanks for the quick reply..

Yah all settings, apps, and account syncing worked fine. Wanna use this as a daily driver, but the keys just drained battery. Bluetooth and wifi both worked for me as well.

Re: [STABLE][ROM] Joylicious, Port of JoyOS + CM7, v1 - 6/18

How are we supposed to edit XML files? I have USED everything including Micro$oft's XML Editor, an XML Notepad, NotePad++, IE, M$ Word, and M$ NotePad...everything. It all says there is an error in line 1..

That is for EVERY XML file..

How do I do this? I need to edit the files for the next build of the ROM.

Everything is encoded. You need to decode the apks using apktool or similar.

Thanks.. Do you have a guide of sorts that teaches me how to decode, edit, encode and XML file?

That makes pure sense to me..

Do we have to encode the XML files after they are edited?

I am a pure idiot. I DID have THIS problem when I FIRST flashed the ROM... Try this.. I am pretty sure this is what I did:

Try going to quick settings in the Notification Bar and lowering the Backlight.. if the phone is on Auto Backlight, turn it OFF...

That SHOULD help..
