You do that too? I am using thekraven's ICS until I get v1.0.3 Build C running. Probably tomorrow. We'll see how nice Google Images and GIMP is. :rolleyes::D

I would try redownloading gapps and reflashing them. Wipe cache/dalvik cache first.

Johnny, go into settings (use the OP "for a more iphoney look") and change your clock to center and your time to 12 hour instead of 24. That should help clear up the confusion of reading the status bar.

Drew, how can I make these settings STICK with a new release of Joylicious? Can I make it to where these settings are enabled by default? or possibly create a patcher (flashable zip) that will fix this issue? I hate the default status bar setup and it is kind of crowded without the center clock and the time changed to 12 hour.. Any suggestions?
 
Aaaaaaaaand here you go. JoyMusic app, by itself, running on The SAMMICH. (My nickname for ICS, lol) Currently running thekraven's CM9 and loving it...especially with this beast in the mix now.

Though it was totally hilarious seeing the look on my ex-gf's face, since she has an iPhone 4S...yes.

Patrick, I look forward to when your CM9-friendly version of this comes to fruition!!!

Will try today.. CM9 by thekraven will be used since he gave permission to use CM7. Please go like/thanks his threads!

EDIT - I did try it, but it hung on boot... Might be a ROM porting issue. Will try tomorrow.

jonny, I'm starting to think that just plain happens. I've run into a ton of those lame errors in Market/Play ever since I first got CAI. Wiping Play's data/Cache helped a bit, as did wiping the data/cache for Google Services Framework...but it's now gotten to the point where the errors happen anyway, and said wipes no longer help (since the Wipe Cache options are now grayed out). I'm guessing this would be the case here, too...which sucks.

Patrick, I'm taking the plunge and flashing the entire ROM...the temptation is just too great to ignore!! :cool: I'm trying to make some space on my memory card, though...primarily for music, but I also need to make some room in my internal memory; would you suggest using something like App2SD or something similar?

minor update: ROM flashed successfully. Had to get App Installer off the market, though, but I got back TB and am currently restoring my user apps+data...and doing all those extra things, too. LOVING THE WAY THE UI LOOKS HERE!!! Oh em eff gee, this is amazing!!! And seeing the look on her face was WORTH EVERY MOMENT!!! (Not to mention her reaction when she brought her iPhone out of sleep mode and saw that this was the real deal in its looks: "...oh, you !!" Priceless. (And when she saw the lock screen, haha!! Funnier still: "...why you gotta copy everything? Wth is wrong with you, crazy !?" Man, I rofl'd like a madman to that...)

Don't know if you guys saw or not, but Joylicious hung on boot when I ported it with ICS..

It boot-looped when I tried to port it using JellyBean (oh yeah.. I went there)

Either way, I can't see the light of using ICS..

Well, here's my thoughts on this puppy. So far, I'm loving it. It has its quirks, though...first the bad ones, then the good ones...:

Bad 1.) I had this thing actually freeze on me ONE TIME just now. And upon rebooting, A LOT of my apps were missing. I actually had to go into Market/Play for a bit and then go back to the home screen to get the missing apps to show themselves. Maybe it's slow to load up everything if you have a lot of apps?

Bad 2.) Another thing: even with iPhone Ringtones flashed into place, that ONE TONE wasn't in my list (Apple Da-Ding, you called it). Not that it's a big deal, but I thought you should be made aware of that.

Bad 3.) I'm NOT feeling how you can't arrange the app icons on-screen from one page to another, or on that same page. (It's REALLY hard to do here, I don't recall it being this difficult with iOS...gonna have to take a peek at my ex's iPhone 4S again...) I find that VERY annoying, I'd like to have - for example - all four Zenonia icons together...and I can't seem to do that.

Bad 4.) Titanium Backup. It got really weird on me. There were six apps that it WOULD NOT restore at all. One of those, S-Voice, is perfectly understandable as that's an ICS-based app. But Words with Friends, Zenonia 3 & 4, The World of Magic, and Youtube!? Things that have likely been around forever!? (I KNOW Zenonia 3 has to have been around, I had that
well before Sprint rolled out the OTA GB/ZVJ update) Unacceptable...

Bad 5...or is it!?) The iOS style music player's here, but the video player ain't...it's that gawdawful default GB video player!!! (Admittedly, I *like* the ICS video player better than this crap.)

IN fact, the ZVJ update was when my Optimus started having problems with rapid battery drain, made a bit worse with the Cold As Ice ROM...but this? This sips battery instead of chewing it like Cookie Monster on cookies. VERY NICE!!! Even with the EXACT SAME overclock settings that I ran in CAI (Min600/Max864/Performance), this still simply sips on battery.

Good 2.) Nice how the app icons that DON'T have borders get them. Looks cool.

Good 3.) JoyMusic just rocks. It's a damn shame that the video player wasn't included here. That's how awesome it is. I am wondering, though: how does that online lyrics feature work?

+1. Thank You for your awesome feedback.

The Apple Da-Ding that I mentioned in the OP states that it isn't included in the ROM (I have added the iPhone ringtones in by default in the later builds) or the iPhone ringtones. I posted that you could get it from Zedge by typing in "Apple", but I understand your feeling. You shouldn't have to download an app to get a ringtone to have an iPhone style.

I have the Apple Da-Ding thing on my SD Card and will copy it over to the page tomorrow. Look for it under "Extras" I will make it a flash-able zip for you.. I am sorry for not posting that before hand.

2) GingerBread video player sucks! I will be contacting the developers of MX Video Player for permission to include it in the ROM as a replacement..

3) YouTube - I had it on my phone. It works well for me. TB may not have let you install it due to being a system app? Download YouTube from the Market and I will also post a link to CM7 Google Apps from thekraven's thread (with his permission)

4) TB - On MIUI, we all experienced the SAME problem.. Once, it wouldn't allow you to install TapaTalk on MIUI... I know this will be a pain in the a*s, but try downloading the apps from the Market and let me know how it goes.. I honestly am befuddled on why Titanium won't install those apps.

5) Launcher - If you can, get iLauncher (PRO) from where you can (Market or APK brain might have a link to dev's site and stuff).. It sucks I know, but you can't rearrange apps in iLauncher Lite.. The STOCK launcher sucks, so please for the sake of your brain, DO NOT USE THE STOCK LAUNCHER.. It sucks. iLauncher is MUCH better.

6) Apps on boot - Yes. You have to give it a little bit of time. Media Scanner (I am pretty sure?!) has to scan the apps weither if they're on the SD Card or Internal... Android takes a minute to detect them. I use an app called "SDSync" (free from Play S.) that forces Android's Media Scanner to run again, finding pictures and videos and such that are missing (if you have no more room, you can also start media scanner by using Dev Tools [isn't it on here?]).. I use SDSync and a lot of people do when... per se' you take a screenshot and it doesn't show up in Gallery immediately; a quick media scanner run can fix the problem... People are using it sometimes in ICS because ICS launcher was buggy when thekraven started developing ICS (thank you, kraven! ;))...

IMPORTANT!!! POSSIBLE BRICKING VIA PRIVACY WIPE! PLEASE CONTINUE READING! IT IS NOT BAD, I JUST NEED EVERYONE TO KNOW.

Was working on the spelling errors and grammatical errors in JoySettings (sorry.. I am OCD and I have a nerve for things not being spelled wight! :p)

I got the thing decompiled, edited the XML files (and deleted some) and are getting an error when I try to build it again.. I have posted my error in the apktool confusion thread and are waiting for a reply.

Potential Bricking Situation:

I discovered a factory reset menu in Settings > About Phone. Tapped on it to see what-the-deal-e-o and it has options to wipe your system and SD Card.. DO NOT USE THE PRIVACY MENU. The ROM is fine and works fine, and I am working to get this removed from the Settings' APK file.. In the meantime,

WARNING!! DO NOT USE THE PRIVACY MENU IN SETTINGS > ABOUT PHONE. IT WILL (NOT MIGHT OR CAN, BUT WILL) BRICK YOUR DEVICE LEAVING YOU WITH A PIECE OF PLASTIC. LEAVE THAT MENU ALONE UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.

I AM working on it, but please.. Save yourself from a brick and DO NOT USE THE PRIVACY MENU.

IF YOU MUST DO A FACTORY RESET (WIPE SYSTEM, DATA, CACHE), DO IT FROM RECOVERY! THANK YOU FOR YOUR UNDERSTANDING.
 
Ouch. Thanks for the warning about iLauncher Lite not allowing you to rearrange apps, lol. You may wanna make a note of that in the OP.

I have the CM7 gapps...youtube ain't in there. Neither is Gmail. And the one that's in the ROM's Email options isn't working for me...yet.
