Final question before making a plunge

So I asked earlier about going from the LG G3 to the 6p, now it appears I can do some early upgrade deal for Verizon and I can get an iPhone 6s Plus for about the same money (although spread out) as a 6p. I've always been an android guy, and my main things with a phone are 1) battery; 2) camera; 3) zippy performance; 4) timely security updates. Has anyone really had these two phones and can compare them for me on those issues?

How is Verizon selling you an iPhone 6s+ for anywhere near the 6p?

That being said, the camera is better on the 6p to me. Using my boyfriends 6s+ and mine I get better pictures out of the box. As far as battery life, I easily get a full day with heavy use. I can get two days with very light use. He is constantly charging his up, not always but more than I am (quick charging is a big bonus here). Updates are what Nexus is all about so that is probably a tie.

It depends if you want iOS or Android. With any Nexus, you skip waiting for VZW to release updates and you get them from Google directly. Google is committed to release security updates every 6 weeks or so. So far, our first update gave us security updates and new emojis.

It really depends on what OS you want. Almost everything else is basically on par w/ one another.

You said you're an Android guy, go for the 6p. Also, buying a phone outright, outside of Verizon's upgrade timeline gives you much more freedom, and the 6p basically lets you ditch Verizon as soon as your contract is up if you feel like it.

If you're more of an Android guy, I'd go with the 6P. I went from Android to iphone and found that I missed a lot of stuff from Android. I think it took me getting an iphone to realize I was much more of an Android guy. So from my iphone I went to the Galaxy S5 (which is a good phone), BUT after getting the Nexus 9 - i realized that i really liked stock Android and really appreciate getting timely updates. For me, a switch to the 6p was a no brainer, I HAVE NO REGRETS. It is such a wonderful phone, I LOVE IT. If you go with the 6p, I hope you love it too.

At least in the phone world, Android vs iPhone is a matter of taste, and the 6P is the way to go if you go Android.

Tablets are a different story until Google figures out how tablets work.

I have a 6S Plus sitting in my drawer. The 6P is the first phone that I truly have not wanted to return to iOS from. Camera is on par. Battery is definitely better on the 6S Plus by about 20%. Operating system smoothness is a tie and I might even give the nod to the 6P as iOS 9, 9.1, 9.2 have had a bunch of bugs and glitches. Jobs has to be rolling over in his grave. Security updates are the same with the new Google monthlies but iOS is probably going to be a bit more secure overall due to corporate acceptance. After that its all about OS preference. I have always defaulted to iOS but tried to use Google services. They just work better. Now with a phone like the 6P, I can have the services truly baked into the OS, great hardware, good battery, great camera. It all comes together in the 6P.

Agreed. I think theyre the two best phones you can get your hands on in both ecosystems it just comes down to preference

6p, it's better than the 6s ... fact not opinion!! seriously though, if you love android it doesn't get better than the 6p. The 6s is nice if you prefer iOS, but it doesn't have that wow factor. The 6p does.
