Finally caved and ordered GSM GN......

And ordered the GSM GN today from amazon. Should receive it by this Thursday, at the latest. I gave up on Verizon and they lost a new customer.

I am currently on AT&T with unlimited data, so it actually makes sense to stay with them with the GN. I realize that I am giving up 4G network and 16gb of storage, but I will make it work.

I can't wait

If more VZW customers were to do the same, a difference could be made. Unfortunately, few people are willing to leave this LTE network regardless of how strongly they feel about this issue. But congratulations on getting a Nexus likely before any of us will.

Relevant here in that it's someone who *wanted* to go VZ. Lost potential customer ... As I wrote in another thread, if ATT here was worth anything, I'd be gone.

I can't blame you especially since you have unlimited data. I bought the GSM version but, I will stay with Verizon since I have unlimited data. They are trying my patience but, I will probably wait it out. I don't think you will be disappointed.

Verizons LTE version is probably going to come out on the 15th, Thursday. If you really wanted to go with Verizon you wouldve waited a bit. Paid a lesser amount and got True LTE, plus the storage. Just patience my friend. If I was in that same situation, I cant pass up LTE. I switched over from AT&T to Verizon 2 months ago. Best choice I ever made

Congrats, if Verizon hadn't had that double data deal I would leave this suckass network. 4lte is fast and all but being dictated what phone I can use sucks bad.

Oh and it probably ain't coming the 15th either. Well it may since this is the only leaked date I didn't take off work LOL

I don't think they will do a presser. Not after all of the negative publicity they already have over the launch and Google Wallet, not to mention advertising a better (subjective of course) phone and a clean and more open phone than their precious Droid RAZR and Rezound, both of whom they've spent a lot of advertising dollars on.

It's possible they may not even announce the date in advance, it could just go up for sale on Thursday. If they do announce a date, i think it will be close to EOD Eastern time.

Gratz I guess? Is it that big of a deal to wait a few days, even a few weeks in the long run? Chances are you will be bored with your phone by the end of the weekend, and then what? It's just a phone.

To be honest I'd rather have a LTE rezound or Razr over a non LTE Nexus. I got 30mbs using my wife's rezound on speedtest last night. It is simply the best feature, bar none, of any feature on any phone.

Verizon is doing everyone a favor by working the bugs out of this phone before it's released. I'd rather have a phone that works than replace my Cyanogen Mod Thunderbolt that works flawlessly with a buggy phone that might have data issues or worse.

Just don't understand the crazy mentality people get over phones.

More customers should leave VZW over a phone? Leave good service because the phone they want hasn't launched yet??? Yeah that makes sense lol. BTW what other carrier in the country has the Galaxy Nexus?

Just got my amazon shipment information. The phone left Philadelphia an hour ago and will be in my hands by tomorrow morning. I already have a Diztronic case, SGP screen protector and a microsim adapter ready to go.
