Finally decided to buy an HTC One, what case to get?

The phone is so nice to hold naked it was tough to put on a case. I tried a few and settled on the poetic atmosphere with the Spigen slim glas. I get that the poetic may not be as protective as a hard case, but I can't bear to cover it up too much. It's as close to nekked as I can deal with.

Yep thats why i like the Poetic Palatte case. I only use cases at work and its nice and slim plus easy to put on and off. Honorable mention to my Bear Motion Slim case

I have my 64GB Developer Edition arriving tomorrow along with a Mophie Juice Pack for mine. I decided having additional battery on board was a bigger draw overall. Still considering the otterbox case as well just not sure.

Well you cant deny it, Otterbox just works

Ehh it does, I have an Otterbox for my iTurd and while it protects it, even the slimmest cases by them to me are too bulky. I also think the plastic is cheap looking and makes phones so much heavier. Just my personal opinion.

I started out with the KaysCase but didn't like it all that much - it is not very protective and is cheaply made. I switched to the Cruzerlite Bugdroid Circuit TPU case and it is awesome. It is very thin but covers the edges and has perfect cutouts. I have the red one on a black HTC One and it looks beautiful!

I like the nice silicone feel to cases. My last phone (iphone 4) i put a zoogue silicone case on it and it didnt have any problems with it.

With the ONE i decided to go with Diztronic.

I just got it today and put it on my phone. It is a pretty tight fit, takes some shoving to get in (IMO is a good thing). The cutouts are perfect, easy to push on/off and volume rockers. Some people have complained they didnt like the oval cutout for the camera and light but i dont mind it, it doesnt effect photos. it also wraps over the top of the phone so that if you drop it on its screen, the ground will hit the case (see Amazon review video if this doesnt make sense)

Also, its only $10. cant got wrong with that. its worth it.

+1 for the Poetic Palette case. It doesn't add any bulk to the phone and feels good in the hand with the rubberish texture. It doesn't offer the greatest amount of protection but if you careful with your phone it will be fine.

I think it outweighs the inconvenience of having to repair a phone or file an insurance claim and use my old phone while it's out, but again, that's just me. I don't get the weight issue either. If I find the weight of my phone uncomfortable, I need to hit the weight room, not take off the case! But it's all personal.

I didn't see that OP had noted he didn't like brands like otterbox and spigen, though, oops. The HTC double-dip case is kinda nice looking? I think there's a UAG armour case I've seen some people have been talking about that's pretty protective, too. And if you have insurance on your phone, the clear TPE cases may be what's best for you!

I know you said that you didn't like Otter Box, but that's what works. I have the Defender with the holster. I also wear a $30 Timex, so I am not pulling my phone out constantly to check the time.

I didn't love my Otterbox Defender on my old iPhone as it was fairly bulky and the rubber ended up tearing at its weak points. However, I bought an Otterbox Commuter for my HTC One and I like it. It does not add much bulk, I like the white/grey look, and I feel that my phone is very protected. I still feel bad that I don't have it out in its full, natural beauty...but I feel like I'm just asking for it to break as I drop phones too frequently and broke my iPhone twice from drops.

I had one of those slim cases till I dropped it. I immediately purchased the otterbox commuter. Adds bulk but works. There is no point of a case if the phone gets damaged when you drop it.

I just ordered one of these also. I really like how responsive the company is to the posted reviews on Amazon.

HTC Double Dip Flip cover all the way for me. I have been using it ever since I got the device and I am loving it more and more every day. The kick-stand feature is awesome, too.

I have bought 4 cases so far, the incipio cf (nice but too bulky and takes away from phone) the slim flpbook by poetic (great and professional look but it got annoying to have to flip open case just to read notifications) the poetic atmosphere (best one so far, slim but protects all corners of phone and looks and fits perfect) this one is so far me and my wife's fave. Also got the slim palette poetic whic is what I use during the week at work, fits good and looks very business but it does leave the corners semi exposed on an angle fall so i have to be extra careful.... My vote goes to the atmosphere case in grey which clear, you see the beautiful phone in all its glory while it's protected all round

I also had the otter box real tree defender. It does add some bulk but it didn't bother me. It also saved my phone when our husky puppy got a hold of it....twice. So if you're looking for maximum protection, based off of my own experiences, I would definitely go with a defender.

i have been perusing the threads about cases and trying to decide on one. nothing fits the bill so far. i want to show the phone off, not hide it. so, i am flying nekkid. so far, no issues. checking the link of the bumper case. that may work...

I got an Incipio Feather in black. I used the Feather in other phones and I like the quality, grip and looks. I also have an MEIFENG (Bear Motion) in grey and a Nillkin Slim Hard Shell in black coming my way.

I'll wait to try those and if they aren't as good as the feather, I will order on in grey to exchange with the black I already have. The natural aluminum color One is an awesome looking device, so try your best to match it with a case that contrast it's color or plays well with it.

I don't like bulky cases and always go for the back scratch protection of slim cases.

I really like this one. Is there some sort of magnet in it so it stays shut, or does it sort of flap open like that S cover for the S4?

I just ordered one of these from Spigen. I'll post an update when I get it on Friday. It looks super slim which is key to me.

I liked this one until the guy said there was a tiny bit of wiggle room when it came to the fit so you hear a little crunching/squeaking of plastic.

I love the Poetic Atmosphere. I also like the Flipbook for its level of professionalism. I watched a couple reviews and I can't seem to get confirmation on whether or not the front cover has some sort of magnet on it so it stays shut. If it does, I'd have no choice but to order both. I really like that Atmosphere but something about a flip cover appeals to me just as much.

I love the price and the simplicity of this one, too...

So many decisions. And Big Red hasn't even put it on their shelves yet. Sigh.

There are no magnets in it, it's just like the S3's and the S4's. Magnets seem to ruin the digitiser and make the touch less responsive, which is why companies stay away from it. Its quality is much better than the Samsung's, though, and feels more sturdy in the hand. It is a bit bulkier, however, since you don't actually replace any backs, lol, but that thickness also increases the protection quite a lot. It's a very good cover which might take a while to get used to but you'll get there.
