Finally dropped my phone

So, I put my phone on the back of the toilet (the tank) and it slipped off..lol. It hit tile. Thankfully, the UAG case was on and suffered only minor damage. There is a small indentation right above the charging port at the bottom of the phone. Could have been worse.

I learned my lesson. The back of the toilet is no place to rest your phone.

Man the UAG case must not be strong... I've dropped my phone on the street several times and my phone is still unmarked all from about waist height

Sent from my Galaxy Note 5!

I once dropped a Blackberry in the toilet by accident. Turned out that's where that phone belonged anyways..lol. Never did like them.

Dropped mine once, on the second day I owned it. No case (hadn't had time to shop for one yet). Glass all shattered.

I guess this isn't the right thread to ask for repair advice, but anyone here know what I should do to fix the glass? It's a company-supplied phone but I want to get it fixed on my dime rather than admit to my boss what I did!

Thanks,
Bulgie

Admit it to your boss. Most likely it is covered under insurance. I run our company mobile program. Insurance always helps :)

I dropped mine on the first day I got it. Had it on the computer table, dont remember what happened, happened in a blink of an eye, somehow my elbow pushed it as I was pulling arm back from keyboard to grab it, landed on tile floors, not a single scratch.

Then next day (2nd day) I had basketball shorts on and I had it in my pockets, and you know how those kind of shorts have very baggy pockets and I was sitting near edge of bed and just slipped out of my pocket and landed on the lower glass surface of this table I have, not a single scratch.

Even with no damage, I still realized, I'm the type that always has to have insurance at all times.

Ouch. For my phones .. if I have them in the restroom with me I always place them on the counter when I lay them down (fully on it) so they won't be bumped off (or slide off).

Glad your phone is okay though :).

Does it? Wouldn't it be cheaper on average for a company to self-insure phones than to buy insurance? (Otherwise, wouldn't the insurance companies lose money instead of making a profit?)

I don't think I could trust someone who doesn't use their phone while they're on the toilet.

I recommend speck grip cases. I dropped my note 4 on concrete bad and the phone was pristine, just bad dents on the case.

As long as they're not talking on the phone at the time. That's just wrong.
