Finally ONE UI 6.1.1 out now

US Unlocked s24U on T-mobile.

I think I'll clear the cache partition on this one since it's so large. I saw a lot of new translation features.

It will take a while for me to sift through the added features.

These 2 items I listed below will be handy, I like the pop-up in My Files. I copy a lot of things to other folders & the pop-up is much smoother to me. 😊

Easier file copying and moving It's easier than ever to find the right folder when copuing or moving files in My files. You can now choose the destination folder in a pop-up window so you can easily return the original folder when you're finished
👍
Create file shortcuts on the Home scree Get faster access to the files uou use most. Touch and hold any file in Mụ files, then use your other hand to navigate to the Home screen Drop the file anywhere on your Home screen to create a shortcut to the file.

Downloaded the update this morning on TMO unlocked S24 in Southeastern USA.

I don't understand how/why some are posting the downloaded is One UI 6.1.1 when the update is clearly still One UI 6.1, Security Patch August 1, 2024.

What am I missing?

There have been a couple of sources that have revealed that the update will say One UI 6.1 & not 6.1.1 like on tablets and foldable devices.

(@mustang7757 posted a link to an article in post #6 above)

The update is to One UI, but leaving the version the same doesn't make sense to me. But it's still August security patch.

You're not missing anything, they realeased the UI update but not the security patch.
😊
They keep us guessing!

I still think they should have called it 6.2 and be done with it.

What does this bring?
Here you go. I took a screenshot before it finished downloading.

oh? is there any particular reason you wish to share with us??
Well first off they removed a few features and Samsung will add them on OneUI 7.0 , plus there's a special app that stop working on 6.1.1 called Hex , That's why i rolled back there nothing that impressed me at all, So I'll wait for OneUI 7.0

members who already installed 6.1.1 please provide pros and con for sharing

You have an S24U with an installed update labeled 6.1.1? Only foldable get 6.1 1. The non-foldable version is 6.1.

Wrong, The S24, S22 ,S23 lines do say 6.1 and will be labeled that way even tho it's OneUI 6.1.1
