Finder keeps crashing / stopping - S9+

This just started. I have tried restarting my phone, optimizing, and clearing data. When I swipe down to see all my apps, then start to type in the search bar, I get an error that says Finder Keeps Stopping - close app.

Please help. Googled and can't find anything on this.


Just to add --- I also tried Safe Mode and the same issue occurs

OK - this is really strange. It seems to only have this behavior when I type F in the search bar !!?? Other letters seem fine but as I start to try to search for facebook, typing the f causes the crash. I do use a google keyboard, but as mentioned, I tried it in safemode, and also tried using the default samsung keyboard.

Hey! Im also having exactly the same problem. Did everything like you did but still to no avail. It happens when I type in "b". I hope this gets fixed soon.

I had this problem but it stopped when i uninstalled Facebook. The problem returned when i reinstalled Facebook.

Man, getting the same as you on my Note 8. I think thats an issue with Finder App, not with third apps like facebook or someother app that begins with an 'f' or 'k'. SAMSUNG please help us! Not acceptable this type of an error on a USD 1k smartphone.

yup... it's facebook and finder. All the letters people having issue with - f, b, k.. I disabled and problem goes away.

Yeah it happens to me with f and k for sure. Disabled FB, rebooted and it went away.

I was having the same issue when I would press the k in the finder it would cause and error message but I disabled Facebook and problem was solved.

I have the same problem with my note8 I just talked to samsung and told me to wait for fb update.

There is also problem with my messenger story where I cannot put text or type bec the keyboard keeps on disappearing. Very disappointing.

Here's an easy fix for you...
Type a space first...then f.a.c.e.b.o. or k and you won't crash even with Facebook active and enabled...

I couldn't delete Facebook, so I simply disabled it. The problem instantly went away.
