Finding the WIFI version before sunday

I just called my local Costco and they had no idea what I was talking about. They said yeah we have the Microsoft Zune HD. Then I said Motorola Xoom and he went and talked to verizon guy, and he said, that is all you we have nothing to do with that. Which I guess they dont. But whatever.

Ignorance is bliss...pretend to be clueless, do't have to deal with...can i buy it pleasssssse

i called my local bestbuy and they said "its not out yet" but didn't sound like they knew what i meant..

i guess best buys in the middle of know where will have a better shot.

My only real issue is the power connector does feel like it going to break or bend if I am not very carefull. I wish it was an option to the USB vs the only way to charge the Xoom.

I just went to a local Best Buy to purchase it, I mentioned Xoom and everybody knew what I was talking about, they just didn't know about the WiFi only. One guy who knew about the wifi only checked their computers and he said there's one store with 10 left and another store with 5 left. Plan to check them out this afternoon.

If you're in or around Michigan, the ABC Warehouse chain has started selling them today. I just picked one up at the Novi store for $599.

nah i don't doubt.. stores will def sell **** if they have it and are dumb enough. especially since most stores are closed on the release day anyway.

Yeah Sunday is a weird day to release something. Plus, if the only thing keeping me from selling a $600 toy was Motorola saying "hold it until Sunday," I wouldn't even think twice before selling it.

For those of you who got it already, pics or it didn't happen. :p

I bought the 3G XOOM on day one and had it until just a few days ago. I sold it on Craigslist for $700 as I just wasn't using the thing. Is has no usefulness right now, especially for a college student. I just didn't feel comfortable spending $880 on a device that I was only using to occasionally browse the web. Moreover, holding the thing in portrait mode is terribly awkward. I basically spent $800 on a device to browse the web, as it has no other functions. I'm not going to wait 5 months hoping that things to get better. While Honeycomb is good, it isn't quite ready to compete with iOS and the App Store.

I also bought the iPad 2 on launch day. The iPad 2 just feels more natural to hold in the hand thanks to the shape and overall design. The XOOM doesn't feel bad, but it certainly isn't easy to hold it in one hand. Since the iPad 2 is my first iOS device, I never realized that EVERY game Android has has been on iOS for months before hand.

Went to 4 best buys today, 3 wouldn't sell it to me, the 4th had no idea what I was talking about.
