I bought the 3G XOOM on day one and had it until just a few days ago. I sold it on Craigslist for $700 as I just wasn't using the thing. Is has no usefulness right now, especially for a college student. I just didn't feel comfortable spending $880 on a device that I was only using to occasionally browse the web. Moreover, holding the thing in portrait mode is terribly awkward. I basically spent $800 on a device to browse the web, as it has no other functions. I'm not going to wait 5 months hoping that things to get better. While Honeycomb is good, it isn't quite ready to compete with iOS and the App Store.
I also bought the iPad 2 on launch day. The iPad 2 just feels more natural to hold in the hand thanks to the shape and overall design. The XOOM doesn't feel bad, but it certainly isn't easy to hold it in one hand. Since the iPad 2 is my first iOS device, I never realized that EVERY game Android has has been on iOS for months before hand.
