Fingerprint fix coming within 24 hrs.

I wonder which specific screen protectors are affected? I removed the Samsung installed protector and am using a TPU soft protector. Seems to work ok after the reboot, but I haven't reset my prints.
It's a certain type of screen protectors that's causing the issue. If you don't have that type of protector leave it on. I still have on the Samsung installed one. I didn't have to remove.

I have the factory screen shield and didn't re-register my fingerprint. Samsung could have been a bit more explicit about factory installed vs aftermarket shields. In any case things seem to be real snappy so I'm not going to mess with something that works well.

I got it this morning but I don't know how. lol. I had a notification this morning so i clicked it and said download update while I went in the shower. Came back expecting a prompt to install the update but there was nothing. So I don't know if it was a notification from the galaxy store or what, but it doesn't appear to be a regular system update. I unlocked with fingerprint when I came back so my phone didn't restart. It was under 8MB. Should have paid more attention but I assumed it was a system update and I'd get more info after it downloaded. I am in Canada with an unlocked 10-.

Edit:damn, the sensor is fast now. No real delay anymore.

Lol, but did they really fix the security flaw or did they just do a cya with their disclaimer in the notes section.

Woke up to mine this morning. I didn't take off screen protector or re-register my fingerprints. Just did the quick update and restarted the phone. Probably won't last but my fps work almost every time now lol

I registered my fingerprints before I had a screen protector installed and I'm not removing the one I have just so I can reregister without a screen protector in the way.

I'm fairly positive mine works OK as I've tried other finger prints and they won't unlock my phone. Accuracy is good enough as it works ~98% of the time on the first try.
No need to remove screen protector unless it was one of the silicone layered types.

I got another fingerprint update this morning, that's the third one, first one didn't require restarting the phone as far as I remember.
Unlocked UK Exynos 5G model

I got the update yesterday, T-mobile it my carrier.

I still had the factory installed screen protector on the phone and didn't take it off for the update, either. I won't remove it until I'm getting ready to replace it.

I have a Whitestone Dome Glass screen protector I just got that I need to install yet. I figured I would re-register my fingerprints after I install it, instead of re-registering my fingerprints after the update, and then again after I install the Whitestone screen protector.

10+ Verizon variant. Got update Friday evening. I too have Samsung's pre-installed screen protector on and will redo fingerprints when I'm replacing the protector. I tried to replicate the "hack" with an older OtterBox screen protector and it didn't work so I'm confident for now.
