Fingerprint ID stopped working

Recently my Fingerprint sensor is not working at all. I tried cleaning it and my fingers are clean when I try to unlock the phone. I also tried to register new fingerprints, it works, but still can't unlock the device. Any tips what to do to solve it? I would really like to avoid reseting the device

You could try resetting the phone but this may be a hardware issue. Might be worth it to contact Huawei an see what they say.

Oh, don't forget to back up your data before the reset
