Fingerprint Scanner and Screen Protectors

So we've all seen the rumours and pictures that the Note 8 will have a fingerprint scanner under the screen.

Does that mean that you can't use a screen protector then?

Hahaha, I didn't even think about that. Seems reasonable that finger print scanner will not work with screen protector on, unless there is a cutout.

I don't use screen protectors anymore, so no worries here. But either way, I don't think that technology is going to be ready for Note 8

Don't see why it'll be an issue if its in the display similar to iPhone 8, Samsung usually makes iPhone screens so you would think they would figure the issues out with their own sensors.depends on which rumor site you believe I guess some say it'll be in screen others say no due to sensor glitches

Fingerprint sensor is capacitive, so it shouldn't matter. The synaptics model Samsung would likely use can scan through glass 1 mm thick so that should be plenty.
